Week 5 of Season 2 of the Quarantine Cup was the first to be CoDcasted by Townhouse Takes and this week did not disappoint, with a mix of hard fought battles and truly dominant performances.

In Series 1, the Warsaw Pact side comprising of Evade, Rocked, QPD_Pookie and Ozicate really brought down the hammer (and sickle) as all four put in strong showing and dominated their NATO rivals, winning Domination on Garrison 199-131, Control on Raid 3-1 and Search & Destroy on Checkmate 6-2.

In Series 2, the new Warsaw Pact side of deadlegs16, Evade, QPD_Pookie and Dirks Dirk had some tougher competition with the NATO side of Rocked, Ozicate, Goldy and Huff, with the two factions trading leads in Domination on Crossroads before the match had a premature end due to a server crash with the Soviet bloc up 148-138.

Upon getting the server back up, the Quarantine Cup moved on to Control on Moscow, where the Warsaw Pact took the first round, but NATO responded with back to back round victories before the Communists bested the Capitalists by a narrow margin to tie things back up, but NATO responded right back to take the the victory as they won the last round with eight lives to spare 3-2.

On Search & Destroy on Miami, NATO came out of the gates with another win, but the Warsaw Pact struck back with back-to-back round wins of their own to take the 2-1 lead. The sides then traded wins as NATO took a 3-2 advantage, only for NATO to even the score again at 3-3, just to trade victories again to make it 4-4 in one of the most tightly contested events of the evening, one which NATO ended up taking again after back to back wins for a 6-4 victory.

In Series 3, the new NATO side of DirkyDirk, QPD_Pookie, deadlegs16 and Ozicate took on the new Warsaw Pact outfit consisting of Evade, Rocked, Huff and Goldy, and carried the momentum of the Western side from Series 2 over into Domination on Raid, which after some back and forth, NATO solidly finished off for the 170-142 victory. In Control on Garrison, the East got its revenge in an emphatic way as the Warsaw Pact did a clean sweep of NATO, with Evade leading the way on a 22/10 K/D ratio, followed up by Rocked right behind him with 19/9, Goldy on 16/9 and Huff with 6/15.

From that point on, it was all Warsaw Pact, as the fearsome foursome proved too powerful for their NATO foes, who were able to only get one round victory in Search & Destroy on Crossroads, with the Warsaw Pact taking the game mode 6-1 and the series with it.

In an additional Search & Destroy on Nuketown ‘84 after the regular Quarantine Cup concluded, a Warsaw Pact team comprising of Evade, QPD_Pookie, Goldy and Huff came out to an early 3-0 lead over the NATO team of Rocked, Ozicate, deadlegs16 and DirkyDirk, but the Americans and their British ally blew things open and took six straight to win the extra series 6-3.
