Today, Townhouse Takes and the Quarantine Cup officially announced their formal partnership, which will see Townhouse Takes become the official media partner of the Quarantine Cup, with Cameron Merritt and Justin Vadenais taking on the roles of CoDcasters starting with tonight’s edition of the Quarantine Cup, which will be broadcast on Townhouse Takes’ new Twitch account.
“This partnership not only allows for more content produced throughout the week, but also means the Quarantine Cup will now be streamed and CoDcasted (live) Friday nights at 8 on twitch.com/townhousetakes,” the Quarantine Cup said in a post announcing the partnership on Instagram.
Each match in its entirety will be posted to Twitch and YouTube and available to watch anytime the following day, and video breakdowns, highlights and more Quarantine Cup-related content will be posted to Townhouse Takes and its social media channels.
Merritt and Vadenais are co-founders of Townhouse Takes along with Josh Silva, aka QPD Pookie. Merritt is a journalist with previous broadcast experience as a three year attendee of the Play by Play Sports Broadcasting Camp and former DJ on 91.5 WWLR in Lyndon, Vermont, while Vadenais is a regular participant in the Quarantine Cup, and holds the tournament’s record for most flags captured in a match at five.
“Happy to be a part of this,” Vadenais said, urging all to tune in to tonight’s matchup.
The Quarantine Cup starts Friday nights at 8 p.m. EST and can be viewed here.
