Townhouse Takes’ Cameron Merritt and Justin Vadenais have been announced as the official CoDcasting team for the Quarantine Cup, with their first event being the 3v3 Gunfight tournament on Aug. 29, presented by BombsAwayGG.
“It’s time to give the people what they want,” Quarantine Cup founder Alex Wolfe, aka EvadeSnD, said in a post to the official BombsAwayGG Instagram account. “You’re not gonna wanna miss this.”
Merritt and Vadenais are co-founders of Townhouse Takes along with Josh Silva, aka QPD Pookie, who won his first Quarantine Cup MVP for Week 8 of the tournament, it’s most recent installment. Merritt is a journalist with previous broadcast experience as a three year attendee of the Play by Play Sports Broadcasting Camp and former DJ on 91.5 WWLR in Lyndon, Vermont, while Vadenais, who will be launching a new interview series for Townhouse Takes soon, is a regular participant in the Quarantine Cup, and holds the tournament’s record for most flags captured in a match at five.
“Can’t wait does this event,” Vadenais commented on the Instagram post. “Excited to cast with my partner (Merritt).”
“Proud to be a part of this event,” Merritt commented. “Looking forward you bringing you coverage of it (with Vadenais).”
The CoDcast team is expected to become a regular feature of the Quarantine Cup following the Aug. 29 3v3 Gunfight tournament, with hopes of bringing further awareness to the Quarantine Cup as well as BombsAwayGG and Townhouse Takes as a whole.
